As you know, at Les Recoverables we advocate transparency ! So, even if measuring the positive impact of upcycling is not an easy task, we decided to get started! To make this as simple and efficient as possible, we referred to the IMPACTS database of ADEME *.
But what is this basis and what is ADEME? ADEME is the French Environment and Energy Management Agency. This agency has set up the IMPACTS database, which enables companies to calculate the CO2 equivalent emission based on their activities. Thanks to this IMPACT Base, we were able to calculate the carbon equivalent savings achieved thanks to the principles of upcycling and our production made in France. To see what a product balance sheet looks like, it's by here .
With this impact calculation, we are able to give you information on the CO2 erasure carried out for each creation.
*In a few words, it is a tool working with a government database which allows us to obtain the CO2 equivalent of our creations. This CO2 equivalent varies according to their compositions and their mode of production.
